Thursday, July 8
7 p.m. Presentation by the Conservation Commission. A study of bobcats in southwestern New Hampshire. The first year of a four year study by the Univ of New Hampshire and the NH Fish and Game department. Town Hall.
Friday, July 9
6 p.m. Ice Cream Social- Entertainment Magician Ben Pratt (6:45p.m.) Faulkner School. Sponsored by Preservation of Stoddard History (POSH). Cost: $2.00 one scoop or $3.50 two scoops – Kimball Farms Ice Cream.
Saturday, July 10
9 a.m.-2 p.m. Snack Shack - offering coffee & pastries, hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, soda & more! Location: Jean & Lewis Clark residence, Route 123N. Sponsored by Stoddard Rockhoppers Snowmobile Club.
9 a.m.-2 p.m. Church Bazaar, Stoddard Town Hall, sponsored by Stoddard Woman’s Fellowship. Featuring local craftspeople, bake sale, and drinks.
9 a.m.-2 p.m. Library Book Sale at the Davis Library and Yard sale at Stoddard Congregational Church. Donations call Kathy at 446-6273.
10-11 a.m. Annual parade, featuring American Legion Band, Nelson Town Band, Milford Fife & Drum, Scots Highland Fife & Drum, antique cars, floats, youth organizations, etc. Meet at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Rain or Shine. Starts 10a.m. sharp.
10 a.m.-2 p.m. Historical Society open house; and visit Stoddard Congregational Church.
11 a.m. Band Concert on Stymest’s lawn, featuring American Legion Band and Nelson Town Band. Bring lawn chairs.
11 a.m.-1 p.m. Face painting on Stymest’s Lawn. All children welcome.
Noon-1 p.m. - The Cheshire Chorusmen – barbershop singers.
Location: Stymest’s Lawn. Bring lawn chairs.
1 p.m. Little Red Wagon, “Jack & the Beanstalk and the 2-headed Ogre” Children of all ages welcome. Location: Stymest’s Lawn. Rain or shine.
4 p.m. Chicken Barbecue at Fire Station, sponsored by Stoddard
Fire & Rescue. Cost: $8.
5 p.m. Raffle drawing at Fire Station, to benefit Stoddard Olde Home Days. Tickets on sale during barbecue.
6 p.m.-8 p.m. Contemporary Christian music at the Gazebo. In case of rain held in the Congregational Church
7 p.m. “Stoddard Then and Now” by Alan Rumrill at the Faulkner School. A photo tour of the past and present. We hope some old timers will join Alan in a historical reminiscence of our town.
Sunday, July 11
8-10 a.m. Pancake & Sausage Breakfast at Faulkner School. $5; under age 12 - $2. Sponsored by the CEO.
10 a.m. Church service, Stoddard Congregational Church. All welcome .
11 a.m. Come join the fun when Stoddard Fire & Rescue take on the Sullivan Fire & Rescue in the first annual softball game at the ball field by the Faulkner School. Bring Lawn Chairs.
2 p.m. Join Alan Rumrill for a historic walk of Stoddard Center from the Congregational Church to Clothespin Park.
2-4 p.m. Open house at horse farm 60 Queen St by Cold Spring Pond. Riding & horse handling demonstrations. By Equi-librium and Ultimate Equestrians 4H club. Raffle to benefit a scholarship fund. Refreshments.
