Town Hall Closing - Christmas & New Year's Holidays

The Town Hall, Tax Collector and Selectmen's Offices will be closed December 23, 2011 and January 2, 2012 in observance of the Christmas and New Years Holidays.

Stoddard's Tax Rate for the 2011 Fiscal Year

The 2011 tax rate for Stoddard will be $14.38. This is comprised of $2.42 (town rate), $6.43 (local school rate), $2.29 (state school rate). and $3.24 (county rate).

As comparison, the 2010 tax rate for Stoddard was $12.80.  This was comprised of $2.32 (town rate), $5.19 (local school rate), $2.27 (state school rate) and $3.02 (county rate).

ZBA Meeting announced

The Stoddard ZBA will meet Monday, October 17, 2011 @ 7:30 at the Town  Hall.

Among the items to be discussed is the review and possible hiring of a Secretary for the Board.

Notice of Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) Meeting

The Stoddard Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) will meet Friday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 pm in the Town Hall.

Draw-down for Highland Lake & Island Pond

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (DES) announced today that the annual fall drawdown of the lakes and ponds controlled by dams owned by DES will be initiated according to the schedule below:

Highland Lake and Island Pond. 
Oct. 10 start date. 
3 feet depth in feet from full.

The Stoddard Congregational Church 175th Anniversary celebration has been postponed until September 4th @ Noon due to the storm.

Important Annoucement Regarding "Hurricane Irene"

Attention: Town of Stoddard Boatowners

With the imminent hurricane approaching and as a safety precaution, boatowners with boats on Stoddard's lakes are strongly encouraged to remove them from the water for the duration of the hurricane event.  If unable to remove a boat from the water, owners should make sure the boat is securely attached to a dock as well as to an immovable object such as a building or large tree.
