The Emergency Management Director coordinates the management of emergency situations (flood, fire, disease outbreak, terrorist incident, etc.) in Stoddard in conjunction with the Fire Chief, the Police Chief, the Selectmen, and State and regional officials.  The Emergency Management Director also interacts with local, regional, state and national officials to ensure that Stoddard has appropriate and up-to-date  plans and procedures in place to respond to various emergency situations.

The Emergency Management Director and Deputy Director are appointed by the Selectmen.
