Davis Public Library Trustee Meeting
January 7, 2010
Call to order: Meeting began at 8:30 am. Present were Marcia Kayser, Chair, Penny Betz, Treasurer, Barbara Cleveland, Secretary, and Kelly Taylor, Library Director.
Treasurer’s Report
Penny presented the financial statements and the reconciliation of the accounts.
The budget needs to be presented to the Selectmen this month, but the exact date is unknown. Kelly will complete the budget and Marcia will ask for a time slot on either January 18th or 25th.
A line item will be added for “Cataloguing”.
Donations: Received by the Friends of the Davis Public Library, $2500.
Old Business
The book count will be rescheduled for Wednesday, February 10th at 8:30 am.
Pest Control by Critter Solutions was completed by Gary. The work is guaranteed.
Kelly, Library Director, continues to research cataloguing software. She was commended on the work that she is doing.
New Business
Four Watt Energy detectors are at the Library for loaning to patrons.
Barbara Cleveland regretfully submitted her letter of resignation; she has enjoyed working with trustees and staff, but due to health and work demands she needs to step down. Her letter was received with great regret and gratitude for her valuable service. Selectmen will be asked to appoint a temporary replacement.
The meeting adjourned at 10:10 am.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Library.
