ZONING BOARD - HELP NEEDED
The Stoddard Zoning Board is in need of several volunteers to fill both regular and alternate positions. This Board does not meet often, but plays a very important role within the Community Planning Ordinance. It is often considered a quasi-judicial board. It is a good board to learn about local government without entering something that is extremely time consuming and at times a bit frenetic. The town also will provide training. Interested parties should contact the ZBA chairman, Paul Krampfert, or the Town Office
The Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) handles requests for variances to the Community Planning Ordinances, requests for special exceptions as defined in the Ordinances, and appeals of administrative decisions that have been denied by other boards. Members are appointed to the ZBA by the Selectmen for three year terms, ending on month & date shown below.
The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets bi-monthly on the third Thursday of the meeting month at the Stoddard Town Hall, located at 1450 Route 123 North. The meeting months are: January, March, May, July, September and November.
