TYPE OF MEETING:  Special Zoom Meeting

PUBLIC PRESENT: None

           1. Call to Order at 7:02 p.m.
a. Roll call:   Angel, Alexia, Frankie, Inga, Martha, Geri, Jan, and Christine
b. Minutes:  Accepted with two corrections; spelling of ‘Clif’ under Director’s grants  and under action items, ‘Geri’ met with fire inspector at the library for an inspection of fire safety equipment, she did not go into the library with him.

         2. Reports
 A. Financial:  We will go over Alexia’s financial reports at next meeting.

B. Library Director: Inga wanted to discuss with the BOT, alternates, and guests’ safe processes of preparing to reopen the library in phases.  Inga and Martha would like to start to reopen for ‘curb-side’ lending, and the risks involved.

1. Patrons call to ask for books or DVDs, and Librarians can place in bags to leave on our covered deck at scheduled time for the patron to pick up.  We also discussed to possibility of having the Librarians place books in their car trunk. The Librarians will place our books or DVDs in quarantine for 72 hours, then wipe them down, and which chemicals may or may not be safe to use, after receiving back from our patrons.  Dr. McGonagle suggested keeping air circulation between books during this time.

2.  Dr. McGonagle also stated that when Librarians are using cleaning wipes, to apply pressure as they clean books and surfaces.

3.  Also, using gloves, especially when you have cuts on your hands.

4.  Angel advised us that our new Town Administrator, Michelle Pong, has ordered nine ‘sneeze guards’ for the town offices, and we should be able to get one or two, as needed. Inga has inquired at ‘Granite Glass’ and
will follow up with them also.

5.  When time comes to have an opening, all patrons should wear secure face masks, with the possibility of Librarians having surgical, disposal ones, per Dr. Jan.
5.  Inga would like to see ‘curb-side’ start in next couple of weeks, so she can start a Summer Reading program.

6.  As Dr. Jan remined us, keeping social distancing can be problematic in our small library, but hand washing with soap and warm water and for at least 20 seconds, wearing masks, and cleaning surfaces, books, and supplies, is essential.

7.  We discussed ‘some screening’ for employees, but it did not seem necessary since our Librarians work alone on different schedules. Also, we are all aware not to come into work if sick or have had covid-19 exposure.

Dr. Jan wanted to make sure our Zoom meetings were safe, and password protected, since she has had a bad experience with a ‘zoom bombing’.  Inga has put the zoom meeting with sign-on, on the library page of the town website (as indicated in our state RSA).  She may just have to put a date of the meeting and any resident could call her to get the particulars of entry into the online meeting.
