PRESENT:              Angel Nicoletti–Chair, Alexia Currie– Treasurer, Frankie Scofield–Secretary, Inga Cullen–Library Director, Geri Bailey and Deb Kingsbury– alternates

ABSENT:                 None

PUBLIC PRESENT: None

 

Call to Order at 1:00 p.m.

Roll Call: Angel present; Alexia present; Frankie present; Inga present; Geri present; Debbi present. No guests were in attendance. Agenda was approved.

Minutes of Nov. 20, 2019 accepted as read.

Correspondence: Thank-you cards were sent out by Inga, to our two volunteers, Charlotte Lesser and Carolyn Rick, for their wonderful help getting migration of our book catalog to Apollo completed.  Martha, our assistant librarian, also worked with them to get this important project finished.  (2,500 records were purged during migration.)

Public comment allowed.

Reports

Financial (emailed prior to the meeting): Written report of accounting since last meeting including income and expenses, balance against budget, year to date balance, profit/loss were emailed prior to meeting. Financial reports were approved.

Library Director Report:  Inga gave a precise report on several programs.  ‘Mindfulness’ attendance not as full as expected, and ‘Yoga’ we discussed as town program.  There are bookmarks, about the Winter Reading Program, at the librarian’s front desk.  Inga also has a good selection of political books regarding our 2020 upcoming election for patrons to peruse.  ‘Stem’ program set for Sat. January 25th.  Inga to create a survey for town’s people to complete regarding possible expansion of library hours. Online also provided.

Review progress on Action Items and Directives:

General Information Sheet updated and distributed.  Inga to email Frankie with new substitute, Mikki Desisto-Falcone’s information for updating General Information list.

Improvements list distributed for future discussion.

Parking lot line striping and sealing:  Steve McGerty and Geri Bailey have discussed joint contract between the Fire Dept. and the Library.  This was discussed with Jim Coffey.  Estimate needs to be available to be submitted to the Town Adm. For inclusion as a town building maintenance budget line item Feb. 19-20th. 

Water filter replacement schedule: discussed, on calendar for April.

Battery replacement on pump alarm: Inga spoke with ‘Tattersall’ and they will replace all batteries.

Dates on Sexual Harassment and Internet use polices, now in library book.

Old Business

ILS Biblionix/Apollo, done.

Front Door Flooding:  Select Board approved on November 5th, 2019 meeting, for gutter and downspout installation by’ Rainflow’, for some time in March or April 2020.

Website:  Tabled.

New Business

Budget:  Dates for budget meeting: Special Budget Meeting date February 12th at 1 pm.

NHPDIP:  Table for new fiscal year.

Investment Policy:  Alexia will email us.  She will also send us a spreadsheet of budget items.  With possible 3-4% increase.

Next Meeting Date: Special Budget Meeting February 12th at 1 p.m.; Regular Trustee Meeting February 19th 1:00 p.m.
