Trustees of the Trust Funds

Meeting, February 6, 2023  7 PM

Via zoom, public welcome

In attendance:  David Lesser and Terri LaRoche

TD Bank Account Update:  Everything is okay now, we got refunded the 2 $900 checks.  The deposits since then went in fine.  Balance waiting to transfer, the new account is open.  Can’t see it online yet.  There are more deposits but no account number yet.  We get free new checks.  Jessica the branch manager will help us, and we need it ASAP.  Online we can still see the old account.  Zeffy is a way for people to do deposits online and Terri needs to change the account number on that too.  We don’t know the closing date yet for the Little Big Forest.  We will keep the account open after the closing and see what Geoff Jones wants to do.  The police were not contacted because there isn’t anything they can do.

New requests:  No new requests but we have the  check for $65,000 for the warrant articles.  Article 23--$20,000, 15-$25,000, 22-$10,000, 25-$10,000.  The check needs to be deposited at TD Bank, and then they need to put into the NHPDIP.  We will do the deposits together once the check is cleared.  There is a check coming from Granite Lake and it also needs to be deposited into the TD account and then transferred.

Contact from cemetery group:  Michelle gave me a heads up that someone will contact me from this group.  Terri has information on intent on some of the accounts, but not all of them.  We will make sure the group gets this information.  The Emerson McCourt Fund has also not had any requests.  Terri will email me what pieces she has regarding the criteria.

Criteria:  Geoff clarified the Sweetwater criteria.  It is only for the dam and any maintenance on the land or the roadways.  We don’t have the Aten Road or Granite Village criteria and some of the cemetery funds.  The recreation/parks fund has no criteria, or at least one that we can find.  We can’t approve something just because we want to spend the money.  Terri can’t even find when it was created.  Once we have all of the criteria we can even post them.  Eventually the Selectmen may have to have an article that clarifies the criteria.

MS 9 and 10:  As far as David knows, both have been approved.

Elections:  Dean needs to decide if he wants to run again in May.  David is up in 2024 and Terri is up in 2025.

Calendar of events:  We need to do this to help us know when things are due.  How to do it?  Maybe a word document—what are the most do’s every month.  Maybe GoogleDocs?  David will ask Charlotte to set something up, one page would be best.

LPL Financial:  David will contact the financial advisor to give us a presentation on investment choices.

Meeting adjourned 8:15 PM.
