Preliminary Meeting Minutes

November 17, 2022

The Chairperson called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm

Pledge of Allegiance was led by the Chairperson

Roll Call: Jason Kovarik, Franz Haase, Herb Healy

Members Excused: Bud Record, Milosh Bukovcan, Doug Summerton

Others present:  Harry Power Compliance Officer

Correspondence/Reports

• Reviewed Budget report
• Checked in with Compliance Officer for reports

Meeting Minutes

• October 20, 2022 minutes – A motion passed to put off accepting the minutes until our next meeting.

Old Business

• Review of ZBA Rules of Procedure, copies of revision was handed to members.
• Members discussed fee structure of ZBA applications
• Review of communications re: Wetlands Ordinance (Article XII) of CPO: NHM gave only general advice and Attorney Matt Surge stated the Stoddard ordinance is written very broadly. Herb brought it before the Selectmen who agreed in the broadness and stated they will enforce it as written, until the Planning Board refines it. The Compliance Officer will advise the ZBA of future issues involving Wetlands as he becomes aware of them and will also advise landowners of the ZBA.

Adjournment.  All voted in favor to adjourn the meeting at 8:45pm.  The next meeting will be held on December 15, 2023, at 7:30 pm at the Stoddard Town Hall.
