Members arrived on the site at 2 PM.

The meeting was called to order by the Chairperson at 2:05 PM.  Introductions were made.  The Secretary read the Site Visit Notice. Herb gave an overview and the purpose of the Site Visit.

Mr. Carlson walked the site, pointing out the planned placement of the public service pole and the location of the power line to the trailer.  He demonstrated the position of the trailer on the site and indicated the brush between Route 9 and the trailer location that he plans to remove to give a better view for traffic exiting the location. He also plans to clear some of the brush along the parking area.

Mrs. Carlson pointed out the planned location of a porta potty and the area for picnic tables. She mentioned there will be entrance and exit signs for traffic flow and they have a letter from NHDOT stating they will allow advanced signs/banners announcing the new business within the setback of Route 9 for one month. When asked about lighting Mr. Carlson stated there will be 2 20-Watt lights on the front of the trailer.  Mr. and Mrs. Underwood, abutters across Route 9, stated they approve of the project and the lights wouldn’t bother them, as the area can’t be seen from their home.

Herb asked if anyone had further questions. No one did.  Doug moved to close the meeting, Jason second the motion and all voted in favor of the motion. The Site Visit concluded at 2:23 PM. The Hearing will be Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 7:30 pm. at the Stoddard Town Hall.

Respectfully submitted,

Kathleen Ellis
