SELECTMEN'S MEETING MINUTES

June 01, 2020

The meeting opened at 7:00 PM via Zoom.

Attendees included Christopher Madden, Chairman of Selectmen, Charles Fosberry, Selectman, Robert Fee, Selectman, Michelle Pong, Town Administrator, Harry Power, Compliance Officer and Patricia Putnam, Administrative Assistant. Several members of the public were in attendance.

OLD BUSINESS:

1.  Discussion of Local Election Protocols in regards to COVID-19

            The Selectmen decided to postpone the election to June 23 (11:00 – 7:00) at the school, if the Governor cancels the stay at home order. 

            They asked Michelle Pong to order "golf" pencils for voters to use and take with them. Dan Eaton said Curry Office has the pencils.  They will have Bob Curnutte set up 4 voting booths. Two will be for voting and 2 will be disinfected after a voter uses them.  Michelle Pong will have adequate supplies of disinfectant spray to wipe down each voting booth surface between each voter.  The Supervisors of the Check List will be stationed outside the hall, weather permitting, to check off voters as they arrive. He will also enlist 2 Fire Department EMTs to check the temperatures and record them a checklist. All election workers will be supplied with face shields tor their protection.  Steve McGerty will supply the face shields and a thermometer to check temperatures as the voters arrive.  If anyone has a temperature 100 or above, they will be directed to an isolation area to prevent contamination. 

2.  Discussion of Town Meeting Protocols and option due to COVID-19

            After discussion, the Selectmen decided to postpone the Town Meeting deliberative session to June 25 at 7:00 at the school.  All attendees will be urged to wear face masks.  The school custodian and Bob Curnutte will be requested to set up the hall with chairs facing the west wall as the School Meeting does. 

ADJOURN:  Bob Fee moved and Charlie Fosberry seconded to adjourn @ 8:02, the board agreed.
