TYPE OF MEETING: Regular “Zoom” BOT Meeting

PRESENT: Angel Nicoletti – Chair, Jan McGonagle– Treasurer, Christine Haase – Secretary, Inga Cullen - Director

ABSENT: Geri Bailey - Alternate, Deb Kingsbury - Alternate

PUBLIC PRESENT: none

 

  1. Call to Order: 7:02 pm
    1. Roll Call: Jan, Christine, Angel, Inga
    2. Minutes: Minutes for 07/20/2020 were approved and accepted, by voice, as presented.
    3. Correspondence: Baker/Taylor automated payments were made, Rex Rodanas; invoice for lawn services, copy sent to library to track what is being spent. 
    4. Public Comment: none
  2. Reports:
  • Financial: Jan presented financial spreadsheets, closing of fiscal year and current fiscal year, difference due to due vs paid. Approved by voice by Trustees.        All invoices will now be paid individually and receipts will be stored digitally  on Google Drive.
  • Library Director: Reviewed directors report prior to meeting.
  • Review of action items:
  • Extended warranty at SquareTrade- new computers - 2 warranties purchased (1 for each new computer)
  • Website Tutorials for Hooplah, RB Digital - Inga has started these and sent a draft to BOT.
  • Project Management Schedule - Inga/Martha - Set
  • Wall-mounted sanitizer installation - must happen prior to reopening

            3. Old Business:

a. Website:  Inga and Geri have created a plan for the website.  Geri outlined the plan and sent it to BOT.

b. NH Public Deposit Investment Pool- Will not join at this time.  Interest is not high enough to justify.

c. Re-opening considerations:

  • Sneeze Guards: BOT voted to hire Franz Haase for sneeze guard installation.
  • Ventilation: Need to look into air circulation rate in the library.
  • Protocol: Reviewed, suggestions given by BOT. Appointments - online/phone, in person if library can meet distancing requirements can be met. Cleaning between appointments.

            4. New Business:

                        a. Bonding of library staff: Still unknown, waiting on info from Michelle Pong.

b. Stoddard Broadband Installation: Waiting for more information on the Fibercast broadband internet and possibility of advocating for library to be part of phase one install in Stoddard, rather than last due to availability of “high speed” through CCI.

c. September Calendar: There will be items due to review in September.

d. Absentee Ballot applications: Will offercurbisde pick-up for absentee ballot applications for upcoming election.  Davis Public Library is only offering this due to the pandemic.

-Inga to purchase 4 keyboard covers, for all computers in library.

-Add revisions to reopening plan/protocol and send to BOT for review.

-Inga/Martha to mount hand sanitizer pumps before opening. One at door to sanitize upon entry and one in children's area.

-Angel to resend pandemic policy to BOT.

-Jan- masks for library staff.

-Angel will pick up absentee ballot applications from town hall.

-Looking for more information on fibercast broadband for the library.
