Zoning Board of Adjustment
Minutes of Meeting April 15, 2021
The meeting was called to order by the Chairperson at 7:30 pm.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jason Kovarik.
Members present: Chairperson Jason Kovarik, Bud Record, Doug Summerton, Herb Healy, Franz Haase
Alternates present: Milosh Buckovcan
Others present: Harry Power
Zoom is running but no one is in attendance.
Hearing
Nothing on the schedule
New Business
Variance received from Doug Hudson. The Secretary will contact Doug for a site visit with a hearing taking place at the May ZBA meeting.
Chairperson & Vice Chairperson nominations: Franz nominated Herb for Chairperson. Herb accepted the nomination. A vote was taken and all were in favor. Doug nominated Franz as Vice Chairperson. A vote was taken and all voted in favor. Members agreed the new Terms will become effective in May.
After discussion, a motion was made by Bud to increase the Secretary’s hourly rate. Herb second the motion. All voted in favor.
A purchase order has been obtained for a computer for ZBA Secretary.
Franz mentioned a statement in the March minutes that the ZBA cannot participate in updating the CPO. Herb added that we have noticed, during hearings, there are parts of the CPO where the intent is unclear. Jason will send a communication to the Selectmen asking if the ZBA can present specific items from the CPO to the Planning Board for clarification and intent.

Bud moved to accept the minutes as read. Doug second the motion. Members voted unanimously to accept the minutes as read.

Update rules and applications: Updated ZBA documents are ready to be loaded onto the Town Web.
A Motion was made by Franz to adjourn. The Motion was seconded by Bud. The Motion passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 8:50 pm. The next meeting will be May 20, 2021, at 7:30 pm at the Stoddard Town Hall and on Zoom. Information for the Zoom meeting is posted outside the Town Clerk’s office and on the Town of Stoddard web site.
